Everton v Birmingham - the Factoids

Staff Writer - 21 Jan 2010

Everton v Birmingham this weekend would appear to the naked eye to be a home win banker.

And at 10/13 Everton and 100/30 Birmingham it would appear clear cut. Add to that a win against Man City last week and a 2-2 draw at the Emirates and the 10/13 looks even better!

However Birmingham have now gone 14 games without a loss in all competitions and with an average of only 1 goal conceded in every 2 games the tide suddenly turns. Add to this that there have been three 1-1 draws between these 2 teams in their last 5 fixtures and the 6/1 at extrabet on the correct score suddenly looks inviting.

THEN you look at the average Total Goals per game and only 2 of the last 13 games have seen 3 or more goals scored in one of their games. Therefore the Total Goals spread price of 2.4-3.6 and the Under 2.5 Goals at 8/11 become interesting.

"The gambling community have been taking on Birmingham all season to their detriment. Beware the Brummies in Blue punters" says extrabet's Chris Shillington
